Metallica fans won’t have to wait much longer for the full release of their highly-anticipated 11th studio album, 72 Seasons, set for release on April 14 -- but to hold you over, the band just dropped a crippling new track.

Metal masters Metallica have offered up the third single, "If Darkness Had a Son" from their 2023 album 72 Seasons, with a brand new music video to go along with it, directed by Tim Saccenti.

“If Darkness Had a Son” follows the previously released 72 Seasons tracks “Screaming Suicide,” and the lead single “Lux Æterna,” the first taste of 12 brand-new tracks from the group since 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. Preorders for 72 Seasons are available now.
