It seems that SZA season will soon be upon us, and that’s according to the singers very own revelation.

During her recent appearance on Kai Cenat’s livestream, alongside other guest Lizzo, SZA let it slip that new music will be arriving much sooner than we all anticipated.
With most artists winding down as the year comes to a close (Kendrick Lamar excluded), SZA has opted to do the opposite. Not only nonchalantly sharing during the live stream that a “whole new project” was up her sleeves. But after some coaxing from Cenat, SZA also apprehensively revealed it “will be out before the year is over.” Shocking both Kai and Lizzo, who hopped around with excitement after hearing SZA’s plans.
While SZA didn’t share any additional info about the soon-to-arrive album, real SZA stans know the album headed our way can be either of two projects she currently has in her arsenal.
The singer has been dropping deets about her third album Lana, the at one-time deluxe version of SOS, which due to leaks is now a standalone album, sporadically throughout this past year.
The latest update, came earlier this month, during SZA’s interview with British Vogue, where she revealed she was in the midst of readying both SOS Deluxe and Lana. Also noting, “I think I am making music from a more beautiful place. From a more possible place versus a more angsty place,” she told the publication. “I’m not identifying with my brokenness. It’s not my identity. It’s shit that happened to me. Yeah, I experienced cruelty. I have to put it down at some point. Piece by piece, my music is shifting because of that, the lighter I get.”
