But off the gridiron, the future Hall of Famer continues to be polarizing -- and a frequent target of derision.

On Wednesday, the reigning league MVP unveiled a new tattoo on his arm -- apparently his first, at age 38.

The decidedly "unique" design turned heads on social media, where Rodgers' behavior in recent years has come under scrutiny on more than one occasion.

Between holding the Packers hostage with threats of retirement; refusing to get vaccinated and pushing quack science; tangling with respected journalists; growing out his man bun; swapping out starlet girlfriends like the rest of us change socks; whining about "woke mobs" and cancel culture -- all while co-opting incoherent new-age rhetoric and talking points -- Rodgers has arguably squandered a career's worth of goodwill in a relatively short period of time.

While Rodgers' new ink is ultimately a benign and meaningless personal choice, it nonetheless begs questions about where he is at this juncture of his life. There's no crime in getting a first tat at 38, but he seems decidedly adrift for someone who is as accomplished as he is.

In any event, more than a couple users on social media deemed his latest update to be part of a "midlife crisis."
