The will he or won’t he game with Aaron Rodgers has started back up, and it appears some in the Packers organization are as over it as most NFL fans.

Rodgers is in line to make about $60 million next season should he decide to play. Retirement seems to be on the table, but he could also orchestrate a trade to a new destination. The Packers, for their part, appear content to roll into next season with Jordan Love as the starter.

But Rodgers has yet to indicate what he plans to do. He says he’s going to go on a four-day darkness retreat to think it over, a move that prompted more than a couple eye-rolls, and will return from that trip with a decision.

Whatever that decision is, Packers players apparently are ready to hear it and move on.

“I also think there’s a certain amount of fatigue when you’re the Packers,” ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio said Friday in his weekly appearance on the “Joe Rose Show.” “This year in, year out, what am I going to do? At some point you're like (enough) – and I’m told the players, their attitude is just we’re numb to it. Whatever happens happens. We’re done worrying about it.”

For those players, it probably helps that there already is an in-house option at quarterback. Unlike the Raiders, who don’t have a next option locked in for when they inevitably trade Derek Carr, the Packers have someone in already that they’re comfortable with.

Las Vegas is widely considered one of the frontrunners for Rodgers. The New York Jets also are said to be interested. At this point, Rodgers playing next season for one of those two teams feels more likely than seeing him in a Packers uniform again.
