Knight has been a part of MASN's pre- and postgame coverage since 2007, but the network pulled him off-air in mid-September without providing an explanation.
But according to Janes, Knight allegedly had "a verbal altercation" with another MASN employee that included "an expletive-laden tirade" from the 65-year old broadcaster.
Several fans voiced their displeasure with Knight not returning on Twitter.
Ray Knight was the best thing about MASN. This is a BIG MISTAKE.

November 4, 2018 This is a loss to Nats fans. MASN decision but it robs fans of the game Ray's honest assessments, knowledge of the game, and his expectation for excellence. I will miss that and his smiles after a win.

November 4, 2018 It has not yet been announced who will take Knight's place next to Johnny Holliday on Nats Xtra.
