Road Conditions
If you don't have to travel, it's best to stay at home. Being out on the roadways not only puts you at unnecessary risk, but also adds to the burden for first responders.

TxDOT updates statewide road conditions online at DriveTexas.org. You can also access statewide road conditions by phone at (800) 452-9292.
If you get stranded on the roadways, officials recommend staying in your vehicle if at all possible until first responders arrive. DPS maintains a Stranded Motorist Hotline at (800) 525-5555. An operator will connect you with local law enforcement agencies.
Power Outages
Austin Energy maintains an online outage map. If you're experiencing an outage, you can report it online or call (512) 322-9100. You can also sign up for automated outage alerts via text messages.
