AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- As the investigation into a deadly hostage situation in southwest Austin last weekend continues, Austin Police have revealed new details on the incident that led to the deaths of four people.

The suspect in the case has been identified as 35-year old Ahmed Mohamed Nassar. In addition to officer Jorge Pastore, the two victims found deceased inside the home have been identified as 32-year old Riad Mohamed Nassar and 63-year old Eyman Ahmed Elnemrnassar.

The incident timeline remains roughly unchanged from initial details provided by APD interim chief Robin Henderson, beginning with a 911 call from the home in the 9300 block of Bernoulli Drive at 2:49 a.m. on Nov. 11. A woman could be heard screaming for help and saying someone was stabbing her.

Patrol officers arrived on the scene eight minutes later, at 2:57 a.m. A third victim, who has not been identified, found officers as they were arriving on the scene, and told them she had escaped from the home where Ahmed Nassar had stabbed her.

Those patrol officers attempted to make entry into the home at 3:01 a.m.; they were immediately met with gunfire from Ahmed Nassar. They retreated and did not return fire; a few minutes later, a SWAT team was called out because the suspect was armed and barricaded with hostages.

About an hour later, at 4:11 a.m., SWAT officers made a second attempt to enter the home. The officers confronted Ahmed Nassar in a back bedroom of the home, where another exchange of gunfire took place - and two officers, including Pastore, were wounded.

Three APD officers discharged their weapons during that exchange of gunfire; the first officer has been with APD for nearly nine years, the second for just over 11 years, and the third for nearly 17 years. All three officers have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of two concurrent investigations into the incident.

The incident was captured on the officers' body-worn cameras. According to APD policy, that video is expected to be released within 10 business days.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call Capital Area Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477, or APD's Special Investigations Unit at 512-974-6840.
