A North Texas high school valedictorian's speech has gone viral after she scrapped her original speech, approved by the school, to speak out against the state's attempt to virtually ban abortion in Texas.
Paxton Smith says she has no regrets. She says she expected to school to kill her mic while she was speaking but that didn't happen.
Online, people are calling her brave and gutsy for speaking out.
Opponents of the abortion law will fight it in court. Courts have already struck down similar laws approved in other states.
