The Washington Commanders just needed Carson Wentz to make a play in order to beat the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. He did not.
The Commanders quarterback cost Washington in the final seconds on Sunday with the team at the Tennessee 2-yard line, throwing two passes that were nearly picked off before finally throwing an interception on the third pass attempt to seal a 21-17 victory for the Titans.

With no timeouts left and 19 seconds remaining, the Commanders chose not to run the ball, essentially putting the fate of the game in Wentz’s hands.
Wentz actually led an impressive drive up to that point. Taking the team 88 yards while completing 10-of-12 passes, as well as an 8-yard run, to set up the first-and-goal situation from the 2-yard line.
But that’s where it all unraveled and that is what everyone will remember as Wentz found himself again being roasted on social media for his play in the final moments of the game.
