Revolutions, you follow? Revolutions.
Keep the quarterbacks on the Ferris wheel, and it goes. The speculation is open 24/7, 365. That's it. Name of the game.
The Washington Commanders carousel is going round and round. Earlier on Wednesday morning, multiple reports indicated Taylor Heinicke would start the season finale and rookie Sam Howell would get some time against the Dallas Cowboys.

Just prior to practice, ESPN’s John Keim tweeted that “While the Heinicke - Howell combo was the definite lean, could still decide to just go with Howell. Lots to consider.”
Later on Wednesday, during the early portion of Commanders practice that is open to the media, Heinicke and Howell appeared to be slitting the repetitions as the top quarterback according to the reporters on the scene.
So there were revolutions in the repetitions before head coach Ron Rivera named Howell the Week 18 starter after practice.
Of course, Carson Wentz – who started the Week 17 defeat that eliminated Washington from the playoffs – is still on the carousel, but he is now on one of those horses that does not go up and down, but just stays level as the ride goes around. The Commanders are ready for him to get off and that feeling is likely pretty mutual.
Bottom line: Nobody – doesn’t matter if it is Warren Buffet or Jimmy Buffet – knows what is coming next in the Commanders' quarterback situation. It could be resolved on Sunday, it could be thrown into even more chaos, and it could go in circles and circles and circles.
The games this season will end on Sunday evening at FedEx Field. But that speculation park goes on. Revolutions.
