After Sunday's loss to Toronto, the Wizards sat three games behind the Bulls for tenth place in the East with seven games to go - a perilous position as they vie for a spot in the Play-In Tournament, but not insurmountable.
That said, they're also in a dogfight with the Magic and Pacers to maintain the 11th spot, and one loss as the wrong time could drop them all the way down to 13th - which would mean a lottery pick in the NBA Draft, and the lower they finish, the better the chances to move up to the Top 3.
To that end, Grant & Danny spent part of Monday's show wondering if, as much as it would be a boost to morale to make the Play-In Tournament, the Wizards would be better off looking to the future and unofficially tanking to end up in the lottery?
