After unveiling the original three new uniform designs for the Washington Commanders' inaugural season, Tanya Snyder let out a satisfied, “Ta-da!”
Tanya Snyder, the wife of team owner Daniel Snyder who became the franchise’s co-CEO last summer following an NFL investigation into the team’s toxic workplace culture, had a reason for her proud proclamation: She was reportedly quite involved in the uniform's design.

According to the Washington Post, Tanya Snyder, who has a background in the fashion industry, was "said to be heavily involved in the uniform design."
Team president Jason Wright said the organization received over 40,000 submissions since they announced a thorough review of the team's previous name in July 2020. The Post reported today when three finalists were chosen, the design firm Code & Theory made logos, helmets, and uniforms for each finalist before Commanders was picked as the team's new name last fall.
Code & Theory, a New York-based digital-first creative agency, handled the new logo, Nike handled the helmets, and Tanya Snyder offered “opinions on uniform design, two team officials familiar with the matter” told The Post.
After helping unveil the new uniforms, Tanya Snyder walked over to the team store at FedEx Field to cut the ribbon and open it up to fans hungry for Commanders gear.
She also informed the crowd of fans that she and her husband would be buying each fan in attendance that morning a new piece of merchandise.
Unfortunately, while there were Commanders shirts, sweatshirts, and hats among the items for sale, there were not any new jerseys available for fans.
