This week on OPWJS Law and Legal with CK Hoffler, Juandolyn and Hoffler discussed the voting legislation that was blocked by Republicans in a vote on Tuesday.

According to Hoffler, the ruling in the Shelby County v. Holder case, which gutted many of the voting rights protections opened the door for the voting suppression and oppression tactics we see today.

Voters, particularly those of color need the federal laws to protect their rights to vote. Hoffler adds these aggressive tactics are in place to block Senator Raphael Warnock from re-election in 2022.
