"He has worked incredibly hard. In fact, I don't know of another person who has worked and continues to work as hard as he is and as he has. It's pretty incredible. He has put in a tremendous amount of effort every day into rehabbing," said Police Chief Christopher Mannino.
Chief Mannino said Officer Tim Jones stops by the police station every now and then."He does stop in from time to time. He's visited our roll call. He's come in and visited. Additionally, last fall, we did an Acts of Service day at his house. We spent an entire day just doing repairs and just fixing things up around his house," Chief Mannino said.Chief Mannino said Officer Tim Jones is an example of having something terrible happen, but turning it into something positive.Rookie Officer Jones was shot in the head while responding to a call of a burglary in progress on March 19, 2016.
