(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 23-year-old Aurora woman says she has looked for a job for the past year-and-a-half and is turned down repeatedly because of her service dog.

"I've been to so many interviews, literally 12 in the past month and a half,” said Jessica Morales, who is looking for a job in customer service.

"When I'm there at the interview, people are like, 'You're the perfect fit for this job. We love you. But we're not entirely sure HR is going to approve your service animal.’”

Her service animal is Kovu, a cane corso, and helps with her PTSD-related condition.

"If I'm in the interview, some people are like terrified of my service animal.”

She says too often, they see cases like that of Jessica Morales.

Weisberg says they try to help resolve them amicably. But she says, "There are times where situations can't be resolved absent legal action."
