CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — One woman was killed, and six others were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood.

Chicago police said it was around 1 a.m. when an argument ended with gunfire near Iowa Street and Cicero Avenue. When it was over, seven people were shot.

A 25-year-old woman was the most seriously injured. She was unresponsive at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai.

A 29-year-old man was initially listed in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the chest and arm.  The others were taken to the hospital in good condition, including three other men, a woman and a 17-year-old girl.

The shooting happened at a vigil for a man killed in a car crash four years ago, Chicago police told reporters.

No one is in custody.
