2 hospitalized, including Chicago police officer, after shooting on West Side: CFD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Chicago police officer and one other individual were hospitalized after a shooting near Cicero and North Avenues on Sunday, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman told WBBM.

The fire department said crews received a call about the shooting shortly before noon.

CFD said shots were fired at the officer but added that they weren't struck. Nonetheless, the officer was taken in stable condition to a local hospital. The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

No other details about the shooting were released.
