
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Shootings on the South and West Sides left one person dead, nearly 30 others wounded on Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend ended Sunday night with the shooting of a 16-year old boy in the 3300 block of West Madison Street in East Garfield Park. The shooting happened an hour and a half after the city’s 10 o’clock curfew. The boy was shot in the leg and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
In all on Saturday and Sunday, shootings on the South and West Sides left a person dead on 78th and Laflin in the vestibule of an apartment building and 28 other people wounded. That included a woman who, state police said was shot in a car on the Dan Ryan Expressway Saturday night.
