
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Detectives are investigating robberies of three businesses late Wednesday night on the Northwest Side.
They occurred minutes apart and police do not believe the same people were involved.
One occurred at a sushi restaurant on the 2500 block of West Lawrence at 11:22 pm.An employee told police she was closing for the night when someone came in and demanded money and she complied. No weapon was seen.
Three minutes later, an employee of a bar on the 4700 block of North Rockwell told police he was closing up when someone came in and demanded money.He also complied. Again, no weapon was shown.
The third incident occurred at about the same time. Police said two men, armed and showing weapons this time, walked into a liquor store on the 2500 block of West North Avenue and demanded money from the register. The woman behind the counter complied. Nobody was injured.
