A person has been taken into custody after a girl, a woman and a man were shot to death during a possible home invasion in southwest suburban Bolingbrook late Sunday.
Officers responded to a call in the 100 block of Lee Lane about 8:15 p.m., according to the Bolingbrook Police Department.
The three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds, police said.
In an update posted overnight, the department said a person has been taken into custody.
“We have located and detained a suspect in the shooting,” the department said in a statement. “Our patrol officers and investigators are working diligently on all potential leads and evidence at this time.”
