BARTLETT (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police continue to search for the hit-and-run drivers that killed a pedestrian this past weekend.

The accident occurred Saturday night a little after 7 p.m. Witnesses told police a 35-year-old man from Streamwood was running across the street at the intersection of Lake Street and Valley Lane when he was hit by not only one, but two cars traveling westbound on Lake. Neither driver stopped, police noted.

The 35-year-old man was rushed to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates but eventually succumbed to his injuries and died.

Detectives believe one of the cars involved was red in color while the other was possibly a dark, four-door newer Chevrolet Trax or GMC Terrain SUV. Police said car parts belonging to the SUV were found at the scene. They included a front tire wheel trim, broken headlamp pieces and rubber portion of a windshield wiper.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is urged to call Bartlett Police at 630-837-0846.
