38-year-old man charged with baseball bat attack on SW Side

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police arrested a North Lawndale man Sunday for attempted murder after they said he attacked another man with a baseball bat.

Joseph Wade faces three misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing a police officer in addition to attempted first degree murder. Police said the 38-year-old hit a 40-year-old man with a bat multiple times last Tuesday near Kedzie and Walnut, leaving the victim with undisclosed injuries.

Wade was arrested around the corner from where he lives, near Fillmore and Whipple.
