(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Four customers were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a Wings and Rings restaurant in Crystal Lake Thursday.
The dinner hour was interrupted when, according to Crystal Lake police, a car went over the sidewalk and into the restaurant, located on Carlemont Drive.
Police said the driver of the Nissan Altima was trying to park at about 5:30 p.m. and ended up going through the window.

“It was so odd to see just a car in the middle of the restaurant with piled up tables on either side of the car,” Bridget Vertis, who works at Wings and Rings and was at the tattoo parlor next door when she heard the crash, told CBS 2.
The station reported a customer pushed his wife out of harm's way — only to end up himself pinned under the car. Police said the victims' conditions range from minor to serious.
Authorities said the adult driver was not injured.
