Armed crew rob Loop store overnight: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early Friday morning in the South Loop.

Police said they hit a business on Clark near Van Buren just before 4 a.m. This is near Metropolitan Correctional Center, the federal lock-up.

Two armed men walked in and demanded cash from the register while a third waited at the door.They were given cash by the employee, according to police, and were last seen speeding west on Van Buren in a black Toyota sedan.

The employee was not hurt.
