WILL COUNTY (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Illinois State Police continue to investigate a deadly crash on I-55 early Monday.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes at Weber Road in Will County, shortly before 4 a.m. Four vehicles -- a semi and three passenger cars – collided, and one of the cars became engulfed in flames.
State police say at least one person died and other serious injuries were reported.
The expressway was shutdown at Weber Road for about six hours.
State police did not provide more details.
