Aurora University is hoping to prep high school students for college.
For those who want to experience learning on a university campus as they get set for college, Aurora University officials say the Camp Spartan College Preparation program will take place July 10-22 at the main Aurora University campus. The program is open high school students going into their sophomore, junior or senior year next fall. It's also open to recent high school graduates.
Courses are taught by Aurora University faculty, and the Aurora Beacon News reported each student is required to take a college preparation course and one academic elective course. Topics include healthcare careers, climate change and more.
