CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Bally’s discussed its planned temporary and permanent casinos in Chicago during its first quarter earnings call and said it has filed paperwork for Chicagoans to hold a 25 % stake in the permanent casino.
“We look forward to the opening of the Chicago temporary casino in late summer 2023, which is on track and on budget," said Bally’s President George Papanier during the call.
"We are also advancing the full build of our Bally's Chicago permanent facility, which is slightly ahead of schedule and on budget for opening in the summer of 2026."
CEO Robeson Reeves said the temporary casino is "on track to generate $50 million plus."
The company would not discuss the Chicago IPO.
It previously said local investors will include "philanthropists, business owners, sports stars, celebrities and everyday Chicagoans from the Black and Latino communities, as well as other ethnic and gender representation."
