CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - State gaming regulators are slated to inspect Chicago’s temporary casino site at the Medinah Temple today.

Bally’s could potentially open its long-awaited casino this week if agents from the Illinois Gaming Board approve the temporary site. There are about 750 slot machines and 50 table games at the Medinah Temple. This as a permanent casino in River West is being built with an opening date of 2026.

The City and State are counting on millions in tax dollars from the temporary site to fund pensions for police and firefighters as well as state construction programs.
