CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) —Chicago Police say a child found a gun in a home in Roseland Friday afternoon and shot himself in the foot.
The 3-year-old boy found the firearm, which had been left unattended in an apartment in the 300 block of East 103rd Street. He then shot himself in the right foot, authorities said.
The boy was taken to Roseland Hospital, apparently by a relative. Chicago paramedics took him from there to the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center.
