A 5-year-old boy was in serious condition after being shot Tuesday evening on Chicago's West Side.
A fire official said the boy was inside a home near 18th and Homan around 5:30 p.m. when he was shot in the thigh.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital.
Police say they believe the shooting was accidental.
No further information was immediately available.
