CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Archdiocese of Chicago is announcing some changes regarding a few parishes on the city’s Northwest Side and in the northwestern suburbs.
The announcement involves six parishes. None of them will be closing, but they will be paired up. On Chicago’s Northwest Side, St. John Bosco and St. James Churches unite to become one parish.
In Schaumburg, the Archdiocese said Church of the Holy Spirit and St. Marcelline Church will keep their own names, but their united parish will get a new name. There’ll be one pastor for both churches. That will be the same situation for St. Matthew Church in Schaumburg and St. Hubert Church in Hoffman Estates.
