Dolton police contemplating charges for driver who initiated weekend crash that killed 3-year-old girl

DOLTON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Charges are being considered against a driver who sparked a deadly crash in Dolton over the weekend.

Police said alcohol was a factor in the crash that left a one girl dead and her older sister injured. It happened Saturday evening at 138th and Cottage Grove. Police said a driver who may have been under the influence of alcohol, hit the vehicle the girls were in, ejecting the girls from the car.

Dolton trustee Andrew Holmes said the family of the victims says the girl who died was 3 years old and that her older sister is four.
