NorthShore University Health to restrict visitors as COVID-19 cases rise

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — NorthShore University Health System has decided to restrict visitors beginning Monday as COVID-19 cases climb.

Adults with an appointment at any of NorthShore’s hospitals or clinics won’t be able to have visitors unless a caregiver is needed

Children ages 17 and under will be allowed to bring one parent.

NorthShore announced the restrictions in an email to patients, citing the need to protect patients and staff amid a COVID-19 resurgence.

The health system said those limited visitors who are allowed will be screened and may have to show proof of vaccination.

NorthShore restricted visitors back in March of last year.
