(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago resident? Has the city got a deal for you.
The Chicago Department of Public Health is offering to vaccinate entire households — up to 10 members, 12 years or older — in a bid to get shots into more arms. Households will also get a $50 gift card from GrubHub.
The vaccinations are free and will be done regardless of a person’s insurance or citizenship status, officials said. People will be given a choice between the Pfizer (12 and older) and Johnson & Johnson (18 and older) vaccines.
Previously, city-sponsored house calls for vaccinations were reserved for shut-ins and people with mobility issues.
