CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The Chicago Police Department issued an alert after a series of burglaries in the McKinley Park area.
The overnight burglaries each happened at businesses in McKinley Park. Chicago Police said the burglar, or burglars, smashed glass doors at the stores to get items inside.
Authorities said the first incident happened July 24 on the 2300 block of West 35th Street around 11 p.m., and the last business was hit July 25 on the 3400 block of South Western Avenue.
There was a third robbery, which Chicago police said took place on the 3600 block of South Archer Avenue around 1 a.m. on July 25.
Police told businesses it’s a good idea to keep property well-illuminated, keep doors and windows secured, and immediately repair any broken windows, doors, or locks.
