
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Brookfield Zoo is trying to bring a little bit of Ravinia to the attraction this summer.
In July, the zoo will host four Concerts for Conservation.
They will take place on two consecutive weekends on the east mall of the zoo, which extends from the big water fountain to the Seven Seas Panorama. Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Soul Asylum with special guests the Verve Pipe perform on July 14;
Macy Gray is July 15.
Vertical Horizon plays the zoo on July 21, followed by Plain White T’s on July 22.
Brookfield Zoo says all concerts will end with a light show and dance party. Admission ranges from $45 ($40 for zoo members) to $55.
