CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Christkindlmarket Chicago has prepared a special surprise to kick off the celebration of their 25th Anniversary - they are giving away 25 mugs!
Yes, that's right, you can be one of the first people with a 2021 Christkindlmarket Chicago mug.
For three days, Tuesday, Oct. 19 to Thursday, Oct. 21, Christkindlmarket Chicago will hold an online Mug Scavenger Hunt, giving participants the chance to win one of the 25 mugs and a total of 75 giveaways from the participating partners Chiya Chai, DönerMen and Gallagher Way.
The Mug Scavenger Hunt takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. The hunt begins each day with a post on the Christkindlmarket’s Facebook and Instagram page, where organizers will then be led to a riddle on the Christkindlmarket website. The website riddle will lead participants to one of the vendor's pages where participants find the final hint. Not only can you win one of the Christkindlmarket annual souvenir mugs, but also win giveaways from vendors. Find the rules and regulations here.
The official mug design reveal will take place this Friday, Oct. 22. In addition to that, the Christkindlmarket is going to announce its new souvenir item and other special merchandise items that will be available online and in-person in 2021.
More good news: The exclusive annual Preview Party ‘Twas the Night Before Christkindlmarket tickets are on sale now! The event will take place at Daley Plaza from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Nov. 18. Guests will get a sneak peak of the market before it opens to the public, including special live entertainment and the opportunity to visit all the vendor booths without having to wait in long lines. This very limited ticketed event allows visitors to experience the market in a more intimate atmosphere.
