
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A consulting firm has been hired to help Chicago find a new police superintendent.
The Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA), which is supposed to come up with three candidates to serve as the city’s top cop, said it has hired a consulting firm to look for candidates.
Public Sector Search and Consulting is a company that only conducts searches for police executives. The CCPSA two retired police chiefs will lead the search for a new top cop.
The commission did not say how much the consulting company is being paid.
Besides Chicago, the consulting firm has also been looking for candidates for police chief in Louisville, Kentucky and Ithaca, New York.
