COOK COUNTY, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- It’ll soon be back to work in-person for people employed by the Cook County court system.

Cook County’s Chief Judge Tim Evans has signed an order requiring all judges and court employees to start getting back to in-person work May 14. That’s three days after the national health emergency declaration for the pandemic is to end.

They’ll have to be at work in-person 70% of the time until June 4 when they’ll be required to be in-person 100% of the time. There are about 400 judges and 2,600 employees in the Cook County court system.
