CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police say they’re stepping up efforts even more on the CTA after two violent incidents over the past few days.

Police have put out a video showing a person being pushed onto the Blue Line tracks at the Damen stop in the Illinois Medical District.

The victim and the suspect had been walking past each other on the platform Friday morning when the suspect, without warning, shoved the other person, knocking them off the platform and onto the tracks. There is no word on the victim’s current condition.

Police Supt. David Brown promises more police attention to the CTA.

“We know the CTA is vital to our culture and our commerce and it’s how hard working people, hard working Chicagoans get to work, school and countless other places and events and back home again,” Brown said.

Police are also looking for the person who shot to death a 29-year old man on a Red Line train at 79th Street early Saturday.
