CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are warning residents in some pretty high-rent districts about a series of robberies that are leading to car thefts.
Police say the incidents happened on the Gold Coast, in Streeterville, River North and Lincoln Park between the end of October and the end of November. Three to five mask-wearing thieves would carry out robberies or burglaries in order to get inside commercial business or residential garages and then steal a number of cars.
They’ve happened everywhere from the 300 block of West Superior to the 200 block of East Delaware and the 1700 block of North Clybourn.
