CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Daily recreational marijuana sales in Illinois hit a new high last month.
Recreational marijuana was sold last month at a rate of nearly $2.9 million a day, up slightly from the daily tally in January.
Total recreational sales were $80 million, which was $8 million less from January, when dispensaries were open three more days.
Last year, the first year for recreational marijuana in Illinois, sales hit about $670 million.
At the current pace, sales could top $1 billion this year.
