CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Des Plaines police are looking for your help in finding the person behind the wheel during a fatal hit and run Monday night.
The accident happened at around 10:30 p.m. near Touhy Avenue and Lee Street about a half-mile from the Allstate Arena.
Des Plaines police said they found an unresponsive man lying in the road. Paramedics took him to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police department said their investigation found 41-year-old Ian Clark of Des Plaines was walking northbound across Touhy Avenue when he was hit by a silver sedan headed westbound.
The car stopped at the red light there before taking off after it changed, police said.
