
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Illinois Supreme Court has announced the creation of a new Domestic Violence Committee.
Chief Justice Mary Jane Tice said in a statement that the high court wants to know how the state courts can better serve the needs of survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking,
She also with changing technology, the upcoming Safety Act and other legislative changes, a committee is needed more than ever, which will review, analyze and examine the impact of legislation and case law as it relates to domestic violence and human trafficking and the court process.
Members will be made up of a number of leaders of anti-domestic violence groups and several judges from across the state.
