--Hop over to Montrose Harbor for the Bunny Rock Chicago 5K race. Held each Saturday before Easter, the annual event combines Easter festivities, `80s vibes and plenty of bunny ears for participants.
--‘Egg-cited’ for Spring? Grab your family and visit Lincoln Park Zoo for its annual Spring Egg-Stravaganza. Take photos with the Easter bunny, hunt for eggs and enjoy free rides on the carousel and train adventure.
--Celebrate the season with your four-legged friend at the Elmhurst Park District’s Doggie Egg-stravaganza. Hosted at Berens Park, the free event lets dogs sniff for some hidden tasty treats.
--Experience 5,000 years of Chinese history through dance and live music. Shen Yun celebrates China’s rich cultural heritage and brings audiences back to a time before communism. The show opens at the Auditorium Theatre this weekend.
--Take a trip down memory lane at the Museum of Science and Industry. “Mold-A-Rama: Molded for the Future” features a collection of popular, rare and experimental Mold-A-Rama souvenirs from the past with their quirky colors, designs and signature smell.
