Evanston woman claims masked men tried to kidnap her while she walked to work: Police

EVANSTON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An Evanston woman told police two men wearing black ski masks tried to kidnap her while she was walking to work.

The 18-year-old claimed to police that at around 3:40 p.m. Monday, while walking south, near Fowler and Crain, two men approached her, and lifted her off the ground. The woman said the pair came from a newer gray 4-door car that was driving toward her and then parked across the street. The woman claimed she fought back, freed herself and escaped, running away from the suspects and able to get to her work.

The women could not tell police what races or ages the suspects were. She noted to police that one of the suspects was wearing a gray hoodie, black pants, and a black ski mask. While, the other suspect was dressed in all black, including a black hoodie and black ski mask.
