(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to a conviction in last week's shooting death of a 29-year-old man whose body was found in a parked car near Trinity Hospital.
Carlos Hemphill and some of his friends raised the money for the reward to find whoever killed his son, Cyle.
The elder Hemphill hopes the reward will convince someone who knows what happened to step forward and help police solve the killing.
Hemphill's oldest son, Carlos Jr., was killed in a drive-by shooting in the Chatham neighborhood nearly five years ago.
That killing was never solved, and Carlos Hemphill said he hopes the reward will prevent the same thing from happening in his younger son's death.
