Fight escalates into shooting at South Loop movie theater: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two people were arrested for a shooting inside the ShowPlace ICON Theatre in the South Loop Saturday night.

Chicago police said they responded to shots fired at the movie theater, located in the Roosevelt Collection, around 7:30 p.m.

Two men were allegedly involved in a fight inside the theater when one pulled out a gun and fired shots at the other.

No one was struck, and police said no injuries were reported.

The movie theater was evacuated and closed for the night.
