
GARY, Ind. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Monkey Pox has made it’s way to Gary.
Mayor Jerome Prince made the announcement along with Gary’s Health Commissioner, Dr. Roland Walker.
Walker said the person is in isolation. The city's health department will continue to do contact tracing and monitor the situation.
"We continue to interview people to make sure the citizens of Gary are safe. There's no reason for panic in this situation."
It’s the second confirmed case of monkey pox in Indiana.
