CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Charges are being considered against a person of interest in the alleged sexual assault of a young girl on Thursday.
According to the police, the alleged sex assault happened while a 7-year-old girl was taking part in online learning. Around 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, the girl was seen live online performing a sex act on a male in the 200 block of East 89th Place in the West Chesterfield neighborhood.
Officers responded and took the male into custody, police said. The girl was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, and her condition was not immediately known. It’s unclear who may have seen the alleged attack and whether she had been connected to a particular school while on the learning app.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
